The Court Services Division provides a variety of services to the judicial branch. The division provides policy and support to youth courts throughout the state. Other programs include children's services provided through the Court Assessment Program and the Court Appointed Special Advocate program.

In addition, a judicial educator manages education for district court judges under the guidance of the Montana Judges Association and for limited court judges under the guidance of the Commission on Courts of Limited Jurisdiction. The staff organizes two annual Supreme Court and District Court conferences and two annual training sessions for courts of limited jurisdiction judges.

Court services also provide a variety of ancillary services in the area of payroll and personnel management. To ensure uniformity in personnel administration across the state, personnel policies and a pay and classification plan for judicial branch employees were developed by court administration staff. These policies were reviewed by the District Court Council and approved by the Supreme Court. Both the Supreme Court and the District Court Council continue to provide oversight and guidance.
