Program Structure: Cases are referred for placement on the 1st Judicial pro bono waitlist through Montana Legal Services and/or the 4th and 21st Judicial District Court. Clients must be eligible Montana Legal Services Association (MLSA) services in order to qualify for the program.
A partnership between WMBA and the Alexander Blewett III School of Law operate the Family Law Advice Clinic at the law school. Advice is limited to family law matters, including adoption, guardianship, parenting and dissolution of marriage and offers attorneys the opportunity to provide limited scope services. The Clinics alternate locations between the Law School and Missoula MLSA offices.

Fourth Judicial District Court Specific Information
A Settlement Master referral program is available through and screened by the Fourth Judicial District Court.
In 2009, the 4th Judicial District Court Judges established a 4th Judicial District Pro Bono Policy endorsing the WMBA Pro Bono Program and clarifying the Court's position on expectations for attorney participation in providing pro bono services.
