Performance Measures - This report provides baseline data from three additional performance measures which focus on case processing and related timelines. These “snapshots” give the Court the opportunity to identify where delays in case processing are occurring and to target specific delays for decrease to the extent possible.
Case Load Statistics - Each year the Office of the Clerk of the Supreme Court compiles statistics related to cases filed before the Montana Supreme Court. Compiled on a calendar-year basis, the most recent statistics are for the previous year just concluded. Below are the statistical reports prepared for 2012. Pro Bono Final Report - The Pro Bono Reporting process is managed jointly by the State Bar of Montana and the Office of the Court Administrator through its Statewide Pro Bono Coordinator. The Statewide Pro Bono Coordinator was responsible for compiling and analyzing the data. This report summarizes the results of the 2012 pro bono reporting year (fiscal year ending November 30, 2012). Pro Bono Reporting is conducted in conjunction with the annual Interest On Lawyers Trust Account (IOLTA) certification. IOLTA reporting is mandatory pursuant to Rule 1.18 of the Rules of Professional Conduct. Pro Bono reporting is voluntary.
Bar Survey - The purpose of the anonymous on-line survey, which is conducted every other year, is to ask District Court judges, appellate attorneys, and law school faculty how they think the Court is performing.
Employee Survey - As part of its performance measurement system, the Supreme Court has adopted a self-administered employee survey as one of its measures. This measure is defined as the percent of employees who say that they are positively engaged in the mission and work of the Court and believe it is a high quality workplace.
