DA 23-0572: The Missoula county District Court enjoined (prohibited the enforcement of) Senate Bill 99 from the 2023 Legislative Session, titled the “Youth Health Protection Act,” which prohibits certain medical and surgical treatments for gender dysphoria when their purpose is to medically “transition” a minor from their sex to their perceived gender identity. The State asks the Montana Supreme Court to reverse the District Court's injunction.

OP 24-0052: Petitioners ask the Montana Supreme Court to declare that (1) CI-14 does not violate the separate vote requirement; (2) there is no authority for the A.G.’s fiscal statement or, in the alternative, the statement must conform to the actual above-the-line conclusion of the fiscal note and omit agency commentary; and (3) Petitioners’ ballot statements comply with the relevant statutory requirements. The Court should direct the A.G. to forward MSRR’s ballot statements to the Secretary within five days of this Court’s decision.
